A newly formed association - the International Association of Interviewers - is filling a unique niche for the interview and interrogation community which, until now, lacked a professional organization to support and represent its distinct needs.
Launched in June of 2012, the International Association of Interviewers is the brainchild of the creators of the Center for Interviewer Standards and Assessment and the Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) designation, who recognized the need or ongoing education and collaboration among individuals whose job responsibilities include interviewing, interrogation and investigations.
While the Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) designation is not required for an individual to become an IAI member, it is anticipated that non-CFIs who join IAI will benefit from their interactions with a high concentration of CFI thought leaders.
IAI members will include law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management, audit and human resources. A solution provider membership category has also been created.
